COVID-19 strikes again. This time, the victim is the 2021 Grammy Awards ceremony, which was originally scheduled for January 31, 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic currently ravaging Southern California, the event has been postponed. A makeup date has yet to be announced. According to Rolling Stone sources, organizers are eyeing sometime in March 2021.

Other sources tell Variety that it was a combination of health and travel concerns that led the Recording Academy and its network partner, CBS, to push back the ceremony. Variety also reports that "several confusing reports in recent days around performances scheduled for the show" had already sent up red flags around the industry.
