If you've ever been to the Rock In Rio festival, you know that Brazilian music is hardly confined to the samba; the heavy metal of Sepultura is as intense as any in the world. Formed in the mid-'80s by the Cavalera brothers, the group's rudimentary debut earned them a deal with Roadrunner Records; the next five albums saw Sepultura emerge from the shadow of influences like Venom to forge their own style and sell millions of records worldwide. THE COMPLETE MAX CAVALERA COLLECTION 1987-1996 features five seminal albums -  SCHIZOPHRENIA, BENEATH THE REMAINS, ARISE, CHAOS A.D. and ROOTS – cut for the label through singer-guitarist Max Cavalera's 1996 departure. In honor of Sepultura  bassist Paulo Jr.'s birthday, we'll rattle the walls with these thrash metal masterpieces.
