The best-known of the compilation’s songs are likely the duets Hathaway cut with old Howard University friend Roberta Flack; both “Where Is the Love” and “The Closer I Get to You” were Top 10 hits. But his talents as composer, keyboardist and arranger shine throughout these 15 tracks, which brim with soul and social consciousness.
