Andee and Gram

"Photography is magic", says Andee, "It allows you to be with the subject in that eternal moment."

That's what Andee has done in her work. Up close and personal with an eye to each subject's special style, statement, and spirit, she is a master of catching the inner details and outer miracles.

Now, in honor of Gram Parsons' 60th birthday, she is bringing out her archival photographs -- images she has mostly kept in her private collection for more than thirty years.

Scores of Andee's photos are currently being readied for her forthcoming book, Andee Eye, to be published in late 2007 in conjunction with a worldwide tour of galleries. Her images of many of the figures from the late '60s and '70s will include Mick Jagger, Ringo Star, Tom Petty, Donovan, Joe Cocker, Leon Russell, John Phillips, Alice Cooper, Pamela Des Barres, Marianne Faithfull, Frank Zappa's “Hot Rats,” and other friends and travelers. Many graced the covers and insides of albums we've all come to know and love.

Gram was a fan of Andee's work and served as inspiration for many of her photographic excursions. As a child of the '60s, Andee immersed herself in the possibilities of those times. And to our great fortune, she recorded what she saw in a way that only a young and gifted dreamer could do.
