Foreigner
This is Lou Gramm and Foreigner. Lou Gramm is one of my favorite singers; his voice is amazing. I had shot photos of him a number of times on videos after he left Foreigner and was doing solo stuff (I got to hang out on a couple of freezing all-night shoots out in the country somewhere with him, but listening to that music would warm you up every time). Finally I got to see him at the Universal Amphitheatre singing with Foreigner, and it was a great thrill. I took all these pictures but then the manager said “Well, we have to see all these and O.K. them all.” So I sent him some proof sheets, I sent him all the color...and then of course never heard from him again and never saw my pictures again. But I did hang on to the black and white negatives. Several times I’ve tried to call; no one knows what I’m talking about. It’s one of the pitfalls in rock ‘n’ roll photography – “We gotta see the pictures first” and then “Who are you? We don’t know anything about any pictures,” after that.
