Pete Seeger
This is Pete Seeger in August of ’82. Every year Pete would play with Arlo Guthrie, and this time happened to be at the Greek Theatre. Being a musician myself and a banjo player, Pete Seeger was my #1 hero in music, because I learned to play the banjo by listening to him (he had a record called How To Play The 5-String Banjo that many people learned from). He was sort of my granddaddy of all heroes in the music world. So it was a terrific thrill for me to go and shoot that, and I could because I was a good friend of Arlo’s, and Arlo invited me to the concert.
