Things To Come
Here’s a group seldom seen, seldom heard of called Things To Come. They were four young guys right out of high school, and one of ‘em was Russ Kunkel, who turned out to be one of the most famous rock ‘n’ roll drummers -- played with James Taylor, just everybody – and later married Mama Cass’ daughter. The other guy I know from this group is Bryan Garofalo, the bass player. He became a very good friend of mine and went on to play with Glenn Frey, America, and many other groups. Now he’s a prop man in the movie industry, where he makes far more money handing props to Harrison Ford and Arnold Schwarzenegger! These guys were really great and one of the first rock groups that I shot. We went out to Long Beach where there used to be a pier and a carnival called Pacific Ocean Park that’s not there anymore.
