Leonard Cohen
This is Leonard Cohen, the fabulous poet-songwriter, whom I’d heard of for years. There was a National Academy Of Songwriters publication called Song Talk that my friend Paul Zollo did interviews for, and he would always call me to come along and take the photos that would accompany the interview. This particular day we got to go over to Leonard Cohen’s house, which was in the Fairfax district of L.A. I was quite impressed that in his office he had a giant color Xerox machine; he was Xeroxing ideas for book covers when I was there. This was in his kitchen. It was a thrill to be able to go over to his actual house and take photos of him in it -- one of the pleasures of being a photographer.
