Neil Young at Balboa Stadium
Balboa Stadium in San Diego doesn't exist anymore; they tore it down. It was a great outdoor stadium. That was a CSNY concert in 1969. There was no backstage, really, just this big old stage, and as all the hippie crowd was coming in, they kinda just sat up on stage tuning up and horsing around and stuff. Neil was sitting at the piano tuning his Gretch, there, while the crowd entered -- because they had no curtains, they had no backstage.
