Crosby, Stills, Nash
At that little old house on Palm Avenue, just a half a block north of Santa Monica Blvd. There used to be an Orange Julius stand by there, and a car wash -- the car wash is still there. It's right across a little side street, Palm Avenue, from that. This little house Graham had discovered and we needed publicity pictures so we had 'em sit on the couch there. They were in the wrong order there; it's Nash, Stills, Crosby. And when we went back a few days later to retake the photo -- because they had named themselves in the interim -- the house was gone. It was a pile of sticks. I always wish that I had known that and somehow bought that house; it would've been a great studio. Right now it's a parking lot -- it's been a parking lot ever since they tore it down in '69. Stupid parking lot!
