Ice-T
A friend of mine was doing a calendar of people giving the finger – and I had a great shot of Danny Bonaduce of The Partridge Family giving the finger, and he was using that, and he wanted to get Ice-T giving the finger. So he called the manager and talked to him and then he asked me to go up to Ice-T’s house and take this picture. He was a very nice guy; I had to sit there while he did an interview with Musician magazine, so I got to hear it all. He’s very intelligent and well spoken, you know; well-thought, the stuff that he had to say. After waiting around for about an hour, finally it was my turn to take this picture for the calendar, and it took all of five minutes. We just went over by the window where the light was coming in, and he hit this pose with a fist and a finger. It was very intimidating; I’m glad that I got to sit there for an hour beforehand to hear what a well-spoken person he was, because it was quite frightening when he hit that pose!
