George Martin Plays America
Here’s George Martin at the Hollywood Bowl, wearing his America T-shirt. A lot of people don’t know that he produced two or three America albums, and when America played live at the Hollywood Bowl, he conducted the orchestra and had this America T-shirt on. Actually, there’s another shot like this that’s his favorite shot; it’s almost exactly like this but it’s black and white, and he put it in his last album of all his best stuff. He said “That’s my favorite shot, Henry; I want to have that in my album.” It was him there with that shirt, conducting, just like that.
