On A Break
This shot of the Monkees in red blouses with vests sitting on a couch was during a break in the filming when they were waiting for the lighting to be changed. And for some reason it was just a short break – sometimes on a break they would run off to their various dressing rooms and then it would take 20 minutes to find 'em all. But in this case they told them all to stay right there, 'cause it was only gonna be a few minutes. Peter is reading a book that I bought for him called Autobiography Of A Yogi; that's why I love this shot. This was in May of '67, and the episode was called "Monkees Blow Their Minds."
