Rhino Class Of 1999

And then we have the Rhino group. Every year for the past five or six years, I’ve been taking the Rhino class picture for the back of the Rhino calendar. I’d go across the street where the railroad tracks are, and with the telephoto lens get the whole company in this group shot. Of course I’d have to wait ‘til the cars go by; every time the light changes a bunch of cars would go by. But I don’t always see them coming, so there are a certain number of pictures with cars in ‘em, and I keep those for my own private file. Because I like pictures where there are people walking by or things that are different in them. Usually, if you take a whole roll (36 pictures) they’re all gonna look the same, so at the end I try to get everybody to give the peace sign or to give the finger or something, just to play around. So this is probably near the end of the roll. We got the peace sign and the car going by – another transition for the slides!
