Howlin’ Wolf
This is Howlin’ Wolf - one of the first pictures I took. This was at a Monterey Folk Festival the first year I was taking pictures. I was still a musician, and we played this folk festival, and Howlin’ Wolf also played. I took one picture of Howlin’ Wolf -- that’s the picture. And one picture of Buffy Sainte Marie, and one picture of Judy Collins, you know? Obviously nowadays I would’ve taken a couple of rolls of Howlin’ Wolf, but who knew back then? I mean, I was just experimenting and learning how to take photos and stuff.
