From Byrds-inspired jangle-folk to hook-rich stadium rock to near-ambient chamber pop, the iconic Athenians have done it all. We’re pleased to present a special series of reissues of their classic Warner Bros. albums. Each CD+DVD edition features original stereo mixes, 5.1 surround mixes, video extras, and newly penned liner notes.

The band’s third album for Warner Bros. (and 8th overall) is a moody masterpiece. “Man On The Moon” became a smash radio hit and was accompanied by an award-winning video clip. Several other songs were released as singles (“Drive,” “The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite,” “Everybody Hurts,” and “Find The River”), all of which helped Automatic For The People become one of the best-selling R.E.M. albums. The orchestral arrangements on several tracks are by Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones.
