Now Available: Alice Cooper, The Studio Albums 1969-1983

We've made a point of mentioning in the past that one of the best things about our ongoing Studio Albums collections is that their convenience. Seriously, how great is it to be able to own an extensive streak of an artist's discography in a single package? Of course, when it comes to an Alice Cooper set that includes every studio album that the man formerly known as Vincent Furnier released on Warner Brothers between 1969 and 1983, we're talking about a seriously big package…and as it seems somehow inappropriate to throw in a “that's what she said” in the middle of this piece, we're going to move on and provide you with a list of the albums that are contained within the set.

Pretties For You (1969) Easy Action (1970) Love It To Death (1971) Killer (1971) School's Out (1972) Billion Dollar Babies (1973) Muscle Of Love (1973) Welcome To My Nightmare (1975) Alice Cooper Goes To Hell (1976) Lace And Whiskey (1977) From The Inside (1978) Flush The Fusion (1980) Special Forces (1981) Zipper Catches Skin (1982) DaDa (1983)

Yes, as you can see, this will be a substantial piece of work, and to further underline just how great the contents are, you get these top-40 hits: “I'm Eighteen,” “School's Out,” “Elected,” “Hello Hooray,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “Only Women Bleed,” “I Never Cry,” “You and Me,” “How You Gonna See Me Now,” and “Clones (We're All).” Oh, sorry, we neglected to clarify that the preceding list was of Mr. Cooper's U.S. top-40 hits. In addition, you also get “Billion Dollar Babies” (#30 in Germany), “Halo of Flies (#5 in the Netherlands), “Teenage Lament” (#12 in the UK), and “Department of Youth” (#7 in Australia). And all of these singles, of course, are on top of the album tracks, which are decidedly plentiful.

Between the quality of the music and the convenience of the package, if you're a new Alice Cooper fan who's looking to pick up an instant Cooper collection, you can't go wrong with this set.
