Hot Wax: Aretha Franklin and The Monkees
Are you ready for the weekend? Sure, you are! Are you ready for some vinyl reissues? We know you’d never say “no” to that!
Boy, is today a good day for you: we’ve got two new vinyl reissues for your purchasing pleasure, and they’re both iconic best-of collections that are absolute must-owns. Indeed, it must be said that one of them would make for a particularly poignant purchase today, since – like everyone here at Rhino – you’re probably still mourning the loss of the late, great Peter Tork. Then again, the other one’s liable to draw a few mourners as well, since it’s not even a year since the Queen of Soul left us.
But, hey, let’s not dwell on the sadness when both of these LPs are filled with some of the best pop music to emerge in the ‘60s!
